Realtime Weather
Integration

Live destination forecasts inside the CRM. Show weather directly in itineraries, public pages, PDFs, and dashboard widgets. One managed weather source across the customer journey instead of external weather websites.

Where Weather Appears
Four CRM Surfaces.
One Consistent Weather Layer.

The same weather service powers dashboard, itinerary pages, public customer links, and exported PDFs. Each surface has its own on/off switch so the business controls exactly where forecasts appear.

Managed Weather Destinations

Saved destinations with display name, region, admin area, latitude, longitude, active state, and sort order. Seeded defaults with manual expansion by admins.

Region-Based Grouping

Locations organized by region. Weather lookups can be restricted to approved trip areas. Useful when the business only wants forecasts for curated operational regions.

Itinerary Destination Resolution

Weather reads route locations from the itinerary first. Falls back to day titles as destination hints if route data is missing. Tied to actual trip structure, not free text.

Geocoding and Coordinate Resolution

If coordinates are not already stored, the CRM geocodes the place name and updates the saved record. Reduces repeated manual coordinate maintenance.

Caching, Limits, and Reliability
Stays Useful Even When
the Provider Is Slow.
Multi-Layer Weather Cache

Forecast, geocode, and search responses each cached with separate configurable TTL settings. Repeated requests served from cache instead of live provider calls.

Stale-Cache Fallback

If live weather is temporarily unavailable, the system returns the last cached data with a message explaining the last update time. The module stays useful during provider downtime.

Rate Limiting and Provider Protection

Configurable per-minute limit for provider requests. Prevents overuse during repeated search or forecast calls. System stays stable even with many concurrent users.

Admin Monitoring Tools

Connection test from settings. Cache statistics and cleanup. Last error visibility. Controlled forecast window and destination count limits to keep payloads practical.

Each weather payload includes location name, region, admin area, coordinates, current snapshot, day-wise forecast, last updated time, and a traveler-facing disclaimer noting that mountain-region forecasts can change quickly.
